About the Founders
Kaylie and Riley Miller, known as The Property Wives, are the wife-and-wife team behind Safe Haven Homes, a mission-driven real estate initiative based in Northern Colorado. Together, they combine vision, strategy, and heart to help queer and trans individuals and their families find safety, stability, and belonging through housing.
Kaylie is both a licensed Realtor and Mortgage Broker, serving as the Chief Visionary Officer (CVO). She focuses on creating new pathways to safe housing, building innovative systems, and shaping the future direction of Safe Haven Homes. Riley, known as the Chief Connection Officer (CCO), is the relational anchor of their work—remembering every client, ensuring consistent follow-up, and building authentic, lasting relationships. Riley will also be a licensed Realtor by the end of 2025.
Their journey began by supporting families with trans teens seeking gender-affirming care in states where access was being restricted. From there, they expanded to helping trans adults and queer families relocate to Northern Colorado, and discovered that this wasn’t just a niche—it was their calling.
In September 2025, they publicly shared their mission on TikTok. The response was overwhelming: more than 1,200 people reached out in the first week alone, many with heartbreaking stories of discrimination and unsafe living conditions. Riley devoted herself to personally connecting with people through comments and DMs, while Kaylie built the systems—forms, processes, and a website—to support them.
Safe Haven Homes continues to grow as a trusted resource for queer and trans individuals seeking safety and community through housing. Beyond their work, Riley is currently pregnant with their first child, Oakley Augustine, due in December, while also completing a master’s in Prevention Science at CSU. She recently authored her first book, The Credential of Being Human, set to be published in 2026.
Together as The Property Wives, Kaylie and Riley are committed to creating not just housing solutions, but true havens where queer and trans people can thrive.
